Build-A-Bear Stock Chart

Build-A-Bear Workshop is a retail store where customers create their own teddy bears or other stuffed animals. It is a publically traded company, appearing on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol BBW.

On 7 March 2006, Build-A-Bear Workshop announced that has given USD$1 million to World Wildlife Fund through the sales of its WWF Collectibear(R) stuffed animal series. For each plush animal sold one dollar goes to WWF to protect and conserve wildlife around the world.

History

Build-A-Bear was founded by Maxine Clark in 1997. The first store was located in the Saint Louis (Missouri) Galleria. Eight years later, there are over 170 stores not just in the United States but also in Canada, Japan, Korea, Denmark, Sweden, the Netherlands, Australia, France and the United Kingdom.
